What makes Johnstone Multimedia different from the other invitation shops?
There are hundreds of invitation shops, both online and off, who claim they will produce a custom product. This interpretation of “custom” frequently entails printing your names, date, and event location on a template card that has already been used for many other clients. Johnstone Multimedia does not consider that to be custom work. Each of our products are created to individually match our clients’ personalities, preferences, and vision. Client designs are originated based on our personal discussions with you and the details you provide (colors, themes, favorites, artistic inclination, locations). We work closely with each client to deliver a stunning product.

Why would we purchase custom invitations?
Why not? You have spent many precious hours investing time and money to make your day unique and a reflection of the two of you as you make a lifelong commitment. Do you offer a catalog or provide samples?
We do not offer a catalog or provide tangible samples because each invite is so unique; however, we have previous client samples that are available on our website at www.johnstonemultimedia.com. We invite you to visit to spark ideas and see the quality of our work. The trend in contemporary weddings is to individualize the day, so anything goes! There are no rules for what we can create together. Because our custom designed invitations are developed exclusively for each couple, we base the artwork on a shared vision; a wedding theme, specific colors, unique insignias, and your personal flair to portray a unique feeling and style reflective of your wedding day.

What if we see an invitation we like somewhere else, but want it customized?
We can bring your ideas to reality! Past clients have given us a sample they pulled from a magazine or catalog and we have designed a custom invitation that matches their vision. With a sample, but taking copyright respectfully into consideration, we can create an exclusive invitation that reflects the style and artistic flair that attracted you to that product.

Do you provide reply cards and envelopes and can you print my envelopes for me?
Not only will we provide you with custom matching reply cards and envelopes, but we can print your guest addresses on the envelopes! All we ask is that you provide us with a Microsoft Excel file of your guest list, and then leave the rest to us. It is that simple! We can design an announcement for 5 or 500, as simple as a postcard or as extravagant as your imagination desires.

Do you offer “thank you” cards or wedding programs?
We do! They are also customized and can fit right in with the theme of your wedding. By creating a unique design for our clients, wedding guests will see a pattern in all the innovative, creative items that are distinctively YOU. From the “save-the-date” announcement to the wedding day program, and finally to the “thank you” cards, your guests will recognize your signature theme throughout each accessory.

How can we get an estimate of costs if we want to order invitations through Johnstone Multimedia?
Just ask us for a quote! We can provide an estimate of costs before any work is started. Johnstone Multimedia is comparable to most invitation providers. We take pride in providing you with exceptional quality within your budget. Estimates are based on the amount of work involved, material costs (e.g., specialty paper, printing), and quantity of items. Custom work can range anywhere from $4 to $25 per item, comparable to purchasing a quality card from a retail store.

How far in advance should we order our invitations?
We recommend at least 4 months in advance for invitations; we can start designing as soon as plans are firm. We recommend sending “save-the-date” and lodging announcements 6 months to one year before your wedding, followed by the actual invitation 6 to 8 weeks prior to the big event. If plans fit outside this timeline, call us and we will work with you to try to fit your schedule.

Will we see a proof of our order?
We will e-mail a .pdf proof of each item that you order or we can meet in person if this is more convenient. The proof will provide you an opportunity to check spelling, date, location, design, colors, and other elements. We will not print any final work until you have signed off on each item through our “ok to print” form that can be returned to us by e-mail or FAX.
